NOX – Dine in the Dark is a proved hit with locals and tourists alike with its mysterious and fun ‘Dine in the Dark’ concept. Diners are ushered into the stylish (and lit) lounge area of the restaurant where they can enjoy delicious signature cocktails or preferred pre-dinner drinks customised to their palate before being led into the pitch-black dining room. There, diners will be guided and served by blind and visually-impaired hosts who have been specially trained to offer guidance and reassurance to sighted guests. At NOX – Dine in the Dark, the dining experience is unlike any other as you rely entirely on your sense of taste, smell and touch to identify your dishes. After the meal, diners are led back to the lit lounge area where the complete menu is revealed with images and descriptions.
The experience is not just about the excitement of dining in the dark but also enjoying a variety of high quality and exquisitely prepared dishes by Head Chef Desmond Lee who has helmed the kitchen since its opening 2013. Chef Desmond Lee was recently nominated for the Chef of The Year Award in this year’s World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence and his impressive career also includes helming the kitchens of some of Singapore's highly-acclaimed and most decorated restaurants and also had the honor of working at British celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay's first solo and 3 Michelin-starred restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London.
